Overview:

This is a 3 day short tour from Lima to the Pacific beach town of Paracas and the stunning desert oasis of Huacachina. In Paracas, boat out to Peru’s “Mini-Galapagos” and visit the stunning coastal National Reserve. In Huacachina combine Sandboarding/Dunebuggying followed by a flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines the next day. A perfect 3-day escape from Lima.

Secret Slave Tunnels tour - discover these tunnels that we used to smuggle slaves in the XVII century

Bus arrives to Paracas, a beautiful small town by the sea.

Night in Paracas

Day 2

8:00am - 10:00am

2 hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, but just as great, where you'll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat.

11:00am - 1:00pm

Tour of Paracas National Reserve - one of South America's biggest protected desert reserves. Stunning Pacific coastline where desert meets ocean.

1:00pm - 2:15pm

Direct luxury bus from Paracas to Huacachina, a small natural oasis located in the Ica desert.

4:30pm - 6:30pm

2 hours of dune buggying and sandboarding - Ride the dune buggies up and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America. A once in a lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America.

6:30pm - next day

29 - 31 DEC & 1 JAN 2021 - NEW YEARS BREAK

We will be taking a short break at the end of December for Christmas and New Year. We do this to give our bus drivers and guides time to spend with their families during these special holidays. As a business, we know this may disappoint some travelers, but we care about our employees the same way we care about our passengers and want to give them a well-deserved rest.

25 – 28 JULY 2025 – INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS (PERU)

Hotel/hostel prices will increase during this period. Accommodation in larger dorm room sizes may apply. We won't be able to assist with room upgrades.

 

Due to the heavy traffic, we will depart Lima at an earlier time (6:00am)

 

Tours will be shortened with all tour operators as follows: Ballestas Islands Tour: 1 hour and a half and Sandboarding & Buggies: 1 hour

 

Access to the oasis may be limited. It might be necessary to walk a short distance in and out of the oasis. Please consult your guide regarding your luggage.
