Bolivia Hop Reviews

I used Bolivia Hop to cross the border this month and it was super organised, the staff (Alejandro) were patient with the passengers (especially with ques at the Bolivia border).
I was a solo female traveller and felt very safe and cared for as soon as I got on the bus to the moment it dropped me at the hostel!
The team gave us loads of information about La Paz, provided popcorn and water along with a movie and gave clear instructions of what to expect when we had to do a ferry crossing!
I also made loads of friends on the bus, to the point we later connected and all went out in La Paz together!

I used Bolivia Hop to travel from Cusco to La Paz. The experience was smooth, easy to follow, and fun. Staff were friendly, accommodating and willing to answer any questions I had. Alejandro went above and beyond to help me book accommodations, explain the process and recommended activities. He even followed-up to make sure I was taken care of by the tour company the next day. I highly recommend Bolivia Hop to any end all travelers in South America, you will not referent it. Border crossing was quick and smooth thanks to Hop staff. Piece of mind while traveling solo.

We continued our journey from Peru into Bolivia with Bolivia Hop and this was a seamless switch from Peru Hop. Rodrigo was our guide for getting from the border to La Paz and he was excellent. Gave us all the info we needed and helped us with bookings etc. We also visited the team in the office in La Paz and they were great too.

Incredible service, made crossing the Bolivian/Peru border so easy. Could not recommend more highly. Our group met a Japanese girl with very little English or Spanish who had been sold a fake ticket. Bolivia Hop took her to Puno with us for free. Kind, informative and just a classy service in uncertain times. 1000% worth the extra cost than public buses.

My boyfriend and I used Bolivia Hop during our travels around South America. It was safe, comfortable (as it can be for a huge coach journey overnight) and we met some lovely people, including the staff. I would definitely recommend using Bolivia Hop if you want to travel big distances in this amazing continent!

As a solo female traveller, safety was a big priority for me, especially when arriving in a new city like La Paz. With hostel pick up and drop offs, Bolivia Hop makes it so easy. It’s also a great way to meet friendly, like-minded people. The border crossing was smooth and easy. My guides, Alejandro and Rebecca were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Bolivia Hop for your first time visiting the country.

Selecting a trip with Bolivia Hop was the best decision! I had a fantastic experience from start to finish over the two days. My guides on both days were very informative. Abiner, my guide on the first day was attentive to everyone and shared valuable information as we visited Copacabana and Isla del Sol. The Bolivia Hop bus was on time during all portions of the trip and I valued the promptness and attention to detail. The seats were comfortable and we stopped at just the right time for bathroom/food breaks. I opted to stay the one night on Isla del Sol and I’m so glad I did! The views were stunning at both sunrise and sunset. I stayed at Inka Pacha in a private room, the partner hostel of Bolivia Hop, and it was perfect. This was my second experience (first was in Peru with Peru Hop in 2022) and it met and exceeded my expectations. It’s affordable, safe and personable. I highly recommend.

I took Peru Hop/Bolivia Hop from Cusco to La Paz with stops in Arequipa, Puno, and Copacabana. It was a great/easy way to travel, especially as a single female. I appreciated the drop off at the door service. All of the guides were nice. The movies were also a nice touch. The bus on the Bolivia side was smaller and didn’t have a bathroom (just FYI) but we did make stops. Furthermore, I appreciated the help with the border crossing, especially being from the US where the visa process is more complicated.

After trying multiple company’s during our travels through South America we fell in love with Bolivia/Peru Hop. The buses were always in good condition, are comfortable and have the necessary USB charging to make long trips manageable. Furthermore a guide was always along for the trip that will helped us find the best hostels, restaurants and bars in the city we arrived in! Other company’s have their terminals somewhere hidden in the backstreets and Bolivia Hop came to our hostels and picked us up aswell as dropping us at our hostel upon arrival!! They also helped us with the organizing of tours during our free time! We will definitely be visiting our friends at Bolivia Hop again in the Future!

Very good company, especially in terms of safety. The drivers I had on my trips were responsible and the busses have seatbelts. They also bring guides along that speaks English and explains everything you need to know. The combination with excursions to different places is an effective way of seeing things while moving on. Perfect for solo travelers.

The staff at Bolivia Hop know their business well. They were friendly and reliable. They helped us book hotels and get taxi cabs. We were traveling with small children and they made sure that the movie on the bus was family-friendly, something I greatly appreciated. We took Bolivia Hop from Puno to Copacabana and from Copacabana to La Paz. The bus from Puno was great.

We took the hop from La Paz to Cusco, with a stop in Copacabana with our two kids. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in La Paz, and given all the information we needed to make our trip to Cusco (including the border crossing) as hassle free as possible.

This is a very efficient service, and the guys know what they are doing.

Although it is not really necessary to have a guide, it is sometimes nice to just be told what to do and follow along. You obviously pay for this service, but in my opinion, the price is worth it.

My wife and I along with two children aged 8 and 5 travelled with Bolivia Hop from Puno to La Paz via Copacabana. Absolutely brilliant for to door service. I have travelled extensively to many countries over the years independently backpacking and overlanding. I can honestly say Bolivia Hop turned what could have been a very challenging trip into a blissful trip!
We got picked up from our hotel in Puno and we well looked after at the border of Bolivia. We then stayed in Copacabana which was good and took the boat trip offered. Great fun. The following day we took the bus to La Paz and were taken directly to our hotel after 10pm. With a few bags and two sleepy children you can imagine how stressful this could have been but it was a breeze with the guides helping us. Thank you so much for making this part of our adventure so enjoyable.

Traveling with Bolivia Hop you become part of a well cared for family. Your comfort and safety are very important to the staff. We found the recommendations given were very good and of high quality. If your hotel-hostal is outside of their drop off location, they will arrange for a taxi to meet the bus. We highly recommend traveling with Bolivia Hop.

These guys are deadset legends. We typically avoid bus travel and just shell for flights and luxury transport (we’re a little older and more cashed up these days).
These guys made me want to get back into backpacker transport again.
Nothing was too hard.
They dealt with every difficult step and assisted with border crossing into Peru. They called ahead and ordered dinner for everyone so we could keep to schedule. They arranged accom for those that hadn’t already and offered great local advice.
They even went out of their way to get us to and from our posh hotel when everyone else was staying in backpackers.
We felt safe at all times and had a great time with them and their team.

Me and my friends traveled with Peru and Bolivia Hop from Lima to La Paz. The experience was just amazing, you get picked up from every hostel you stay in and they were always punctual, which is an exception in Southamerica (:
During trips at night they offer you blankets, so you don’t get cold and the seats in the busses are really comfortable.
They offer you many free tours like the Paracas national reserve, which was my favorite and other small trips in between the stops. The guides were really nice and supportive and you could always ask them anything you want to know.
Furthermore, it was also really easy to book tours through Peru Hop, they always introduced the options on the way to the next destination and you could book them on the bus, which was great. Every tour was also perfectly planned and went well, which is really nice, as we also had negative experiences with tour companies in South America.
Moreover, they offered many discounts for hostels and restaurants and always recommended the best options.
All in all, Peru and Bolivia Hop is a really good option to see these two beautiful countries and I can recommend it 100%. You will be amazed by the beautiful scenery and the relaxed trip, you will never forget.
